So I’ve hearkened back to the original, 3rd edition version of the steel predator, although I have borrowed the roar effect being a stun, not a deafen, from the 5e version. ![]() I probably should have included this in my Xenomorphitude post, since it looks like it came from an HR Giger petting zoo. The 5e version is jagged in shape and has a matte finish, and I like the sleeker, shinier version that Sam Wood did. I also dislike the change to its visual aesthetic. Plus, it refers to a “rogue hexton”, which is weird because D&D 5e hasn’t bothered to stat up any modrons except for the drone tier, not any of the nobles like hextons are. ![]() It’s a magical assassin, of which there are plenty of already, and it’s a construct when the original was alive.
